Patrick Mahomes' contract in the 2020 offseason was historic, and changed the QB market forever. Ever since then, QBs have been demanding more and more money. Daniel Jones' $40M per year contract was the writing on the wall that QBs were about to suddenly become a lot more expensive, and Jalen Hurts and Lamar Jackson's record-breaking contracts only reaffirmed this.
